Exciting Events Happening at Camino This Fall

With fall almost here, there is a lot happening at Camino!

We’ve recently started a campus upgrade.

There are multiple groups joining us for retreat in the coming weeks.

We just hosted a women’s retreat on Wednesday, and we’re already planning a women’s wellness weekend for next month.

We’re also hosting a Fall Fest for the IDD community, and we’re planning an open house for everyone to come up to see the campus in the midst of fall!

With so much to cover, let’s dive right in!

Women’s Retreat

On Wednesday, nearly 40 women joined us for "Pause the Busy, Abide in Christ," our one-day women’s retreat.

The day began at the Padre Pio Shrine with confession and Mass, then continued here at Camino.

The women shared a simple lunch, gathered for fellowship, and spent the afternoon in reflection, rest, and prayer.

A few pics from the day below:

Thank you to all the women who joined us!

Because of the wonderful reception, we are now offering a full weekend for women in October!

And that leads us into our next section…

Women’s Wellness Weekend

From October 16–18, 2026, we will be hosting a women’s wellness retreat.

Step away from the busyness of everyday life and spend a weekend focused on rest, connection, and renewal at Camino Farms.

This restorative weekend gives women space to slow down, care for themselves, connect with others, and enjoy the peaceful beauty of Camino.

The weekend includes:

  • Yoga & mindful movement
  • Guided reflection and meaningful conversation
  • Creative wellness activities
  • Time outdoors and with our animals
  • Mass & Adoration opportunities
  • Nourishing meals
  • Free time to rest, walk the property, or simply be

Arrival is Friday at 4:00 PM and departure is Sunday at 2:00 PM. $275 per person includes overnight accommodations, meals, and retreat programming.

Come as you are. Leave rested, connected, and renewed.

The weekend flyer can be viewed here, with full details are on the signup page below.

Reserve your spot here.

Upcoming Retreats

As you can see, our retreat season is in full swing!

Over the next two weekends, we will be joined by high schoolers and then alumni retreatants.

Pope John Paul II will be joining us next weekend with some of their senior class for another Kairos retreat.

This will be the second time they join us in the past three months. They will also be joining us again in November.

We loved having them in June and cannot wait to host them again!

The First Annual Memorial Fr. Jim Flynn Malvern Alumni Retreat

From October 2–4, 2026, a group of Malvern alumni will gather at Camino for a weekend away in the countryside to reflect, relax, and reconnect.

The theme is Our Journey in Faith and Friendship.

This includes:

  • exploring personal faith
  • the strength of brotherhood
  • what it means to stand by your brothers in challenging times

The weekend includes Mass and confession with Fr. Rob Hagan, O.S.A., a Saturday morning pilgrimage to the National Centre for Padre Pio, a talk by Fr. Dan Reehil, and plenty of time around the firepit.

Saturday will also feature a shared lunch and conversation with six to twelve current Malvern Prep students. This will act as a bridge between generations, where alumni experience the caliber of young men on campus today and students see how the Malvern bond endures 50 years and beyond.

Space is limited to 25–30 alumni.

If you're a Malvern alum who would like to join, or know of other alumni who might be interested, please reply to this email and we'll send the full details.

Aerial Challenge Course Update

Construction is officially underway!

The course will be complete in early October, and we're excited to make it part of our summer camp experience starting in 2027.

Our team has started planning next summer, including more comprehensive programming around our farm and animals to create even greater opportunities for campers.

We’ve also begun conversations with other nonprofits and mission-driven organizations about joining us for camp next year.

If you run an organization (or know someone who does) that would like to partner with us for camp next summer, please reply to this email.

Fall Fest

Sunday, October 11 | 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM

After such a great summer together, we're bringing our Camino community back for a fall afternoon on the farm, especially for our campers and participants with IDD and/or ASD, along with their families and friends.

We're planning a relaxed afternoon with:

  • Hayrides
  • Farm animals
  • Face painting
  • Pumpkin painting
  • Fall games and activities
  • Hot cider and light refreshments
  • Karaoke and music (how could we not?!)

Most importantly, it's a chance to welcome everyone back to Camino, see familiar faces, and spend time together again.

Whether you were with us this summer or you’re new to Camino, you are welcome to join us at Fall Fest!

Register here!

If you are interested in volunteering or helping with the event, reply to this email and let us know.

Community Open House — Saturday, November 7

We're inviting all of you to an open house to explore the updated campus.

Come walk the property and see it all for yourself: our lodging, our spaces for reflection and prayer, the dining hall, the trails, the pickleball courts and gym, the farm and the animal barn, and our new Aerial Challenge Course.

We’ll be there to share more information and answer any questions about what happens here throughout the year, from summer camps and school retreats to the Provisions program serving our neighbors.

Whether you're considering bringing a group to Camino, looking for a place to serve, or just curious about what we've been building, we'd love to show you around.

More details to follow in the weeks to come!

Closing Thoughts

I know we covered a lot today.

But with so much happening here soon, we wanted to make sure you were aware of all the ways to join us at Camino.

If you have any questions about the events or anything else, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Fall is the most beautiful time of the year on campus.

We hope that many of you can join us at some of the events in the coming months!

With Gratitude,

When I sit down to write the newsletter, I always like to highlight what’s happening at Camino throughout the week. Last night, we welcomed a group of Pope John Paul II High School students for their senior year Kairos Retreat. They will be with us until Monday. I will share more about their experience next week. The rest of the week has been spent in preparation for Fall Fest and our upcoming Women’s Wellness Weekend. I have a couple of exciting updates to share with you for each of those....

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the courage of the first responders, service members, and countless individuals who stepped forward in the days that followed. We pray that God continues to guide us in building a world rooted in peace, compassion, and unity. When my parents started Camino, there were no plans for a farm. Their original intentions were just to build a camp and retreat center. But with construction delayed for various reasons, the...

On Monday, we hosted our final group of the summer. Our first group joined us on May 28th. Since then, there were only 10 business days we did not have a group on campus with us. We hosted a variety of organizations, ran our own camps and retreats, and finished the summer with countless stories to tell. Every story is one of connection, joy, service, and belonging. Today, I’m going to share: Summer by the numbers The last group here at Camino Our farm and Provisions mission And the upcoming...
